Bullet Crickets

These pests are primarily outdoor dwellers and only become structural pests when they stray into buildings. The conditions found inside are not suitable to them and they shortly die on their own. Their main foods are dead and decaying vegetable matter so they are often found in large numbers in damp areas in gardens, leaf piles, under decorative bark or wood chips, wood piles, under stones and rocks, and similar areas. When found indoors, they are often found around doorway or along the wall where they entered. Crickets may enter a building in great numbers during a migration, sometimes a building may be invaded by thousands of these insects. Even one cricket can be an extreme nuisance when it is chirping at two o'clock in the morning. Crickets may also damage clothing items in the home ranging from fine fabrics to shoe leather.
